What's strange is that we're still all looking for the next Bob Dylan. What about the next Ryan Adams or the next Replacements era Paul Westerberg? I'd settle for that and I may have found him in Taylor Hollingsworth. This brash, boozy singer looks like he's just out of his teens. His record is shooting for radio airplay but at the same time his leadoff track contains the word Fuck in the first stanza.
His new record, Tragic City, came out on January 24 on 8rash Records. It's a collection of mostly uptempo guitar workout rock " n roll. But on songs like "I'm A Runaway (New Orleans)" for instance you get a swamp voodoo thing with horns that is perfect for the subtext of the song. Buy Tragic City here.
